BIOGRAPHY

Sharvari is a young and talented dancer from Hyderabad, India. She lives in Berlin and pursues her advanced training in the Kuchipudi (Indian classical dance art form) from the world renowned Kuchipudi Dancers Smt. Padmavani Mosalikanti and Sri Jaikishore Mosalikanti in their dance institute 'Shivamohanam' in Chennai, India.

She started her rigorous training in Kuchipudi at the age of six. She developed a great keenness in this art form under the erudite training of her first Guru Dr.M. Usha Gayatri. She has been able to grasp the subtle nuances of Kuchipudi, the rich and ancient art form from her Gurus.

She performed her Arangetram (first solo perfomance) at the age of 12 on 30th July, 2005. This performance was a perfect blend of rhythm, grace and expression and was highly appreciated by media critics and classical dance fraternity. Her dedication towards the Kuchipudi art form was appreciated by the Government of India and awarded her CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources & Training) National scholarship during 2006 -2012.

During the years 2008 to 2018, she performed many solos and group performances nationally and internationally representing India on many prestigious stages. Many a time, she has been highly appreciated for her excellent body kinetics and realistic expressions, brisk footwork and fluid movements from stalwarts of classical dance industry, the press and the media. Over the years, Sharvari has grown up as a fine artist who is able to showcase a rare talent in the culmination of Nrutta (footwork), Natya (dance) and Abhinaya (expression). Although she has a Master's degree in the field of science and technology and worked as an IT professional, the passion towards the art form compelled her to become a full-time artist and continue the mantle in her Gurus footsteps to promote and nurture Kuchipudi.
